Program I Operation Tell All About It (Fundraiser 3D shoots)
Use land donated by Zions Ridge Campgrounds to hold Fundraiser outdoor 3D Shoots. Run 3D shoots as fundraisers for our organization. Use the Fundraiser shoots to help inform the public of our organization, as well as raise funds for the indoor archery range and equipment needed for that in the future. Run advertisements in local and nationwide newspapers and magazines. Solicit and receive donations of equipment, door prizes, etc., from archery/outdoor retailers across the nation. Let the community know what we are doing and get them involved. Please check the "Events" for a full list of fundraiser dates and times. For more information on our fundraisers, please write to: info@cbayou.org
Program II (Part 1) Operation Snugli (Get in to where the kids are schools, retail stores, etc. Spring 2006)
Use donated equipment & targets to go into the schools and teach all levels of kids, grades and skill levels the sport of archery and let them know what our organization is doing and what our future goals are. Go to retail stores such as Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop and offer an area outside where kids can come with their parent(s)/guardian(s) and learn about archery and our organization. To find out where we will be holding the next event as well as which school we will be visiting next, please see "Events".
Program II (Part 2) Operation Bino (Get youth groups, Boy/Girl Scouts involved Winter 2005/2006) Open up the outdoor range used for Fundraiser 3D shoots to youth groups, Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts of America, etc., to come and use the donated equipment and targets to learn more about archery different evenings and weekends throughout the year. Partner with the Missouri Department of Conservation and local archery groups/retailers to help in this endeavor with targets, equipment and volunteers as well as indoor range space during the winter months. To check availability schedule please write to: jhawley@cbayou.org Program III Operation Bowland (Open a youth archery center in the Spring of 2007) Purchase land and build an archery youth center. The building will cater to both able bodied and wheelchair bound individuals. The general contractor and other contractors will be hired by C.B.A. & You, Inc., at their designated times to complete the different phases of the building. Building and opening this center will require a great amount of funding. We are looking for some of this funding through private foundations with specific interest in building/renovation, land acquisition and general support in the form of grants. Another portion of funding will come from the Fundraiser 3D Shoots as mentioned above. Archery equipment will be supplied by different organizations as the center is being built as well. Program IV Operation Shoot Straight (Start a youth training program for archery in the Fall of 2007) Start up a youth training program for archery, free of charge to youth 18 years of age and younger. This program is for ALL youth, able bodied or disabled without discrimination. All youth will be instructed equally by our trained staff of volunteers and employees. These volunteers and employees will instruct the youth in the field of archery, as well as maintain the center and grounds. Much of the funding will be received from foundations and individuals with specific interest in youth development, but we are always looking for more funding from all different avenues.
For additional information on any of the "Operations" our organization will be going through, please write to: info@cbayou.org If you are interested in assisting with any of the organizations endeavors, either through volunteering or through donations of equipment/monetary contributions, please write to donate@cbayou.org
